Seducing Mr. Wrong has never felt so right…
Prim and proper art gallery coordinator Elle Walser is no good at seducing men. Heck, she’s been throwing hints at her boss for months, but he’s completely clueless. Desperate to escape her mother’s matchmaking efforts, she comes up with a plan—buy some lingerie and climb into her boss’s bed. The plan goes brilliantly…until she accidentally seduces a sexy stranger instead.
Bad boy nightclub mogul Gabe Schultz just had the best almost-sex of his life. Too bad the smoking hot blonde thought he was his brother and bolted before he could finish what they started. Though her holier-than-thou attitude puts a serious damper on his mood, Gabe’s never been one to give up on something he wants. And he wants Elle. But does a man who lives on the dark side really have a chance with a proper lady?
“Tonight she was seducing Mr. Right”
Despite the fact the Elle has little chemistry with Nathan, her boss, she devises a plan to seduce him. Dropping hints hasn’t worked so what better way to grab his attention than to climb right into his bed? With a whole lot of courage she does just that and things go wonderfully until she realizes the man she just got naked with isn’t who she thought he was. Elle was absolutely horrified, pissed off, and embarrassed. The last thing she wants is to see is Gabe again and she definitely never wants Nathan to find out. Gabe has other plans though.
“Gabe’s eyes flew open and searched the shadows beside him. Holy shit, he wasn’t dreaming at all. There was a woman in his bed.”
When Elle shows up in the bedroom Gabe is sleeping in he assumes he is about to have a fantastic dream. Really, how often does a gorgeous girl you don’t even know just crawl into your bed? When he finds out it isn’t one he is pleasantly surprised. Elle isn’t the type of girl Gabe is used to and he just has to know her.
Gabe hasn’t had the easiest past but even through it all he made something of himself with his night clubs only all Elle see’s when she looks at him is a tattooed bad boy. A sexy tattooed bad boy (my favorite!). Gabe doesn’t know if he should even bother when he knows she thinks he is beneath him but there is just something about her that won’t let him give up, even when multiple attempts don’t go the way he planned. I really liked reading about him trying to woo Elle. He was always making little sexy remarks that got under Elle’s skin and when he wasn’t reminding Elle of the great sex they could have had he is actually really sweet. Overall, he was my favorite character in this book but I am pretty sure you could have guessed that.
“He leaned in again, so fast she flinched. “Keep up the attitude and you’ll be lucky if I don’t make you beg for it.”
Elle on other hand was another story. I went back and forth between liking her, to disliking her, to being able to tolerate her. At first I was like “Damn girl! This takes guts” (referring to her deciding to jump right into bed with her boss) but then I got to know her more and my tune changed to “Seriously? Lighten up and stop being a stuck up bitch”. She definitely wasn’t my favorite but at the same time I couldn’t really see her acting any other way. She had a previous relationship with a scumbag that she just can’t let go. I don’t blame her for being insecure but it isn’t fair to assume every guy is going to act exactly the same.
At 144 pages Wrong Bed, Right Guy was a super short read but very entertaining. It had some very likeable characters and other not so likeable characters that made for an interesting story. Although, the book was a quick read there was still steamy scenes, romance, and some depth to the characters. I always like to be able to dig deeper into the characters but I think in the short amount of time I got to know them I could see where they were coming from. I didn’t find the book to be amazing or anything but there wasn’t really anything I extremely disliked. Even the little bit I got to know about the secondary characters was enjoyable.
Also, Goodreads has this down as the first of a series and although there wasn’t anything listed for a second book I am really hoping to get to see more of Nathan and to get to actually meet Elle’s brother Ian, who was mentioned a few times.
