It’s been a little quiet around here, hasn’t it? Really what’s up with that? Well I can tell you that nothing drastic has happened. I did have about two weeks of posts scheduled and then one day those posts ran out. I can’t say that I’ve been insanely busy or that I’ve been unable to get to a computer for an extended amount of time. In fact, I haven’t been around anywhere for a few weeks. I guess I just needed some time to unplug. It’s nice to do every once in awhile.
I’ve got some reading in. I have also battled myself the past couple of weeks. I have been struggling to decide which ereader/ereading apps I want. I have been back and forth between three options: Nook GlowLight, Kindle Paperwhite with 3G or a new iPad. I have preordered the new Paperwhite with 3G and I’m hoping I made the right decision. The Paperwhite only has 2 GB of storage which is the crux of the problem. It’s why I decided to go with the 3G (that way I can access my books at anytime). It was a tough decision technically speaking. The Nook still has expandable memory; however, I have read a lot of reviews and the screen just sounds too weak to waste money on. I’m already spending $200 on the Paperwhite (ereader only) so it wasn’t a stretch to think that a new iPad might also be an option. I mean it would have both apps and more than enough memory. In the end, I think I’m making the right choice and I guess that’s all that matters. Any opinions? Do any of you own a GlowLight? Has anyone else ordered one of the new Kindles?
Alrighty! I should have long since announced the winners of the August 2012 Read It Pass It giveaway.
