As I’m sure most of you have noticed Operation: TBR Reduction has pretty much been an epic fail. I’ve embraced it at this point. I’m a book hoarder who clearly cannot control herself. It’s all good, right? Right. So I am effectively ending Operation: TBR Reduction for myself personally. I welcome anyone and everyone to continue with it if you’d like. OR Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal have started a year end challenge called Unbreaking the Shelves. It is similar to Operation: TBR Reduction in that the end goal is to reduce. These two girls; however, have more organization and better guidelines. I wish the best of luck to all of you!
I still want to share with you all the exciting bookish finds I have discovered during the week. I have decided to join Tynga in her weekly meme entitled “Stacking the Shelves”. You can find more information on it at her website. Tynga invites us to post this meme on whatever day we are comfortable with. She puts her post up on Saturdays and I am going to follow her lead! Now without further ado; the books!

Thanks melliane! It’s amazing how much easier it is to accumulate books via shopping online rather than in a store. Maybe it’s because I don’t feel guilty until they’re here and then it is too late!

I can understand that, I do the same but when I saw at the end all the new books I have it’s terrific lol.

Uh…thanks for blaming me? Sorry Operation TBR isn’t working for you.

The blame is a good thing! It means you’re a great book reviewer/pusher. Those types of books are always up my alley.
Yeah, I’ve pretty much just embraced the fact that I will always be bringing in more books than I read. I’m pretty much a degenerate that way. It’s really shameful but somebody has to provide a great home to all those books. Plus now I can direct them to the Unbreaking the Shelves challenge which is similar. Awesome timing on these two posts really.
Amanda @ On a Book Bender September 1, 2012 at 11:06 am
I was honestly a little worried that Unbreaking the Shelves would step on Operation TBR’s toes a little. Funny how the timing ended up working. lol.

Not at all! It’s actually great. I have to admit that I think the reason I failed is because I didn’t have any hard and fast rules. I’m sure Unbreaking the Shelves will be a great success. I’ve edited the post to guide people to either On a Book Bender or Reading the Paranormal.

Wow that is certainly huge piles of books that you got. I see why you gave up on the TBR pile Operation because that is a lot of books.
I really need to read the Soul Screamers series so if you remember, let me know when you start to read that series and we might be able to read it together!
Happy reading!

It’s going to be the same this week too.
Yeah, I have a problem and it’s just not going to get better. I am going to try to get down and do some serious readings. I have goals, Alexa. GOALS!!! We’ll see if they are achievable.

I know, right? I read a big variety of books.
I have read the first Artemis Fowl book and I remember loving it! I even solved the puzzle that ran along the bottom of the pages. I just need to re-read the book so I can finish the series.
Becky @ A Reader's Devotion September 2, 2012 at 4:57 pm
Wow! All I can say is that is two very big piles of books. I hope you enjoy all of them!

They are two very big piles of books.
They always make me happy. I feel bad but then I look at them and start stroking the spines and muttering “My precious” under my breath…. Not really, but it’s close! I just get this cheesy grin on my face and can’t wait to read each one.
