How many of us love to stand in a bookstore and just stare at all the gorgeous book covers? Go on raise your hand you know you do! But we aren’t supposed to judge a book by it’s cover. A really pretty cover; however, can drag us in all the same. We’ll be picking out some of our favorite covers and displaying them here for you. To be honest, we may not know whether or not the book is any good but if the cover is anything to go by…..
Choose: A quick death…Or slow poison…
About to be executed for murder, Yelena is offered an extraordinary reprieve. She’ll eat the best meals, have rooms in the palace—and risk assassination by anyone trying to kill the Commander of Ixia.
And so Yelena chooses to become a food taster. But the chief of security, leaving nothing to chance, deliberately feeds her Butterfly’s Dust—and only by appearing for her daily antidote will she delay an agonizing death from the poison.
As Yelena tries to escape her new dilemma, disasters keep mounting. Rebels plot to seize Ixia and Yelena develops magical powers she can’t control. Her life is threatened again and choices must be made. But this time the outcomes aren’t so clear…
This cover is one of my favorites because it is the beginning of an amazing series and it is also kind of mysterious. All you can see is a woman walking up a stone spiral staircase. Really that’s all it took for me. I’m such a cover whore.

I really want to read this series. I have yet to purchase it though. I’m also interested in her newest series. Ugh so many books and so little time.

I like that cover too. I don’t like the new ones that just have a face and floral stuff on them. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3462638-poison-study

I love this cover! I feel the same way about covers. I’ll pick up a book every once in a while when the cover isn’t great but most of the time it’s the cover that does it for me! This sounds really interesting, thank you so much for sharing!

Yep. A cover will have me reading a book faster than most anything else.
