This time around I’ve outsmarted myself! I have included several novellas to read during Bout of Books. I still have several full length books to read. I just know that if I can scratch off the books on my list it will keep my morale up! I’ve even made a special collecion on my Kindle for this read-a-thon! See!
Novellas:
Free Four by Veronica Roth
The Assassin and the Desert by Sarah J. Maas
The Assassin and the Pirate Lord by Sarah J. Maas
The Assassin and the Underworld by Sarah J. Maas
Be Witched by H. P. Mallory
Catch of the Day by Kristan Higgins
Chasing the Sun by Kaki Warner
Due or Die by Jenn McKinlay
Fever by Lauren DeStefano
I’m hoping to get through all of these! I know it’s a big list (for me) but I have high hopes for this read-a-thon.

I really need to read Wither since everyone seems to have loved that when it first came out. I guess I hesitate because most people didn’t love Fever so I don’t want to expect too much from the series.
I hope you enjoy all of these books. My list won’t be up until the read-a-thon actually starts.

I am anxious about Fever. Perhaps that is why I’ve been putting off reading it. I adored Wither!

OMG you’re going to read Sarah J Maas novellas <3 !!! I've read Throne of Glass last week and loved it but the novellas are even better than the actual book
I hope you'll like all these books.
I'm following you on goodreads so that we can talk about this read a thon if you want ! My username is ifmarybooks just like my blog !
Happy reading and Good luck !

I am reading the novellas! I’m hoping to outfox myself.
I found you on GoodReads and was glad to have another friend there. Good luck during Bout of Books!

I heard Throne of Glass is very good (I haven’t read it but I want to), I hope you enjoy the novellas. I hope you have fun!
I am looking forward to the read-a-thon.

There has been a lot of buzz around Throne of Glass. One of the other bloggers I follow gave it 5 stars and said Sarah J. Maas is now an auto buy for her! I am really enjoying the read-a-thon so far.

I really enjoyed Fever, although I know it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea! The Free Four novella is a great read too. Good luck with your goals!

I am so glad to hear that!! I am really worried about it but at the same time, I’m not a picky reader….too much.
The Free Four “novella” was so much shorter than I thought it was going to be. I didn’t realize that most of it was sneak peeks for Divergent and Insurgent.
Still nice to read Four’s perspective.

That is so cool! I have a 2nd gen Kindle, so I can’t make a nifty little collection like yours.
Good luck on your goals!!

Thanks! I am an organizational freak. I make lists for my lists. A Kindle is a great thing. I’m just not sure what I’ll do if they come out with a “glow” edition.

Free Four! I need to read that. Great picks!

It was great to read Four’s perspective. VERY short though. I felt a little ripped off and then remembered that it only cost me a buck.

I just started reading the HP Mallory books and I think I might be officially hooked. I have the second Jolie book on my list. So jealous that you’re reading Fever. I really need to get my hands on that book. Have fun and good luck with your goals!

Thanks Shirley! Jolie is great! I didn’t realize there were going to be so many more to them. I have one full length book to read and then there are two more that are just released/coming out soon. I’m not sure if my library is going to carry them or not. No one in the system has the first few.

I love your organization! I read Free Four during the last BoB. ENJOY!
I look forward to your character interactions.
Stephanie August 13, 2012 at 8:15 pm
Thanks Smash! I’m hoping it will help. Free Four was a great read but too short!
Kelsey August 11, 2012 at 6:32 am
I really need to get a copy of those Assassin novellas, the book itself was really good. Good luck!

I didn’t know about the novellas until I read about it in the beginning of the ARC for Throne of Glass. Thank you!
Kristilyn (Reading in Winter) August 11, 2012 at 6:44 pm
Ooh, good luck with your books! I hope you enjoy Fever!
I really should think about adding some novellas to my pile — it looks like a good idea!
Enjoy your reading.
Stephanie August 13, 2012 at 8:25 pm
I’m hoping that I enjoy it too! The novellas are a great strategy for me because if I don’t feel like I’m making progress, I give up. Hopefully this way I’ll destroy both lists!
Mariana August 12, 2012 at 2:10 pm
I loved Wither but still need to try Fever, heard some mixed feelings about it. hope you like and best of luck on the BoB. I’m doing that too.

I have heard so many mixed feelings on it that I do worry about Fever. Hopefully I will love it even half as much as Wither.
Ruby August 12, 2012 at 5:05 pm
After some serious consideration, I decided to sign up for Bout of Books. But, after reading a couple of goal posts, I’m thinking of readjusting. Maybe replacing some full-length books with a novella or two?

I’m so glad you decided to sign up!!! You’ll enjoy yourself.
The novellas help me by breaking up the bigger reads and help me to feel as if I’ve accomplished something.
Jess C August 12, 2012 at 5:56 pm
Wow, that looks really cool. I didn’t know you could do that with a Kindle. I think it’s great to start with some novellas.
Stephanie August 13, 2012 at 8:33 pm
Yep! I love my collections. They appeal to my organizational ocd senses!
Lol. I love my Kindle and it makes reading easier.
