There once was a woman who read
She preferred to read in her bed
Her nose in a book
No notice she took
When her life was rife with dread
The Grammarian’s Reviews asks us to relocate the characters of our current reads.
I am currently reading Chasing the Sun by Kaki Warner. It is a historical western romance set not too long after The Civil War in New Mexico Territory. I am relocating my characters to Boston, MA and here’s why:
Brady, Hank and Jack are cowboys through and through. They love their ranch and their women. I think it would be hilarious to see these three men in a big city with hustle and bustle. I don’t think they’d know quite what to do with themselves!

Thank you!! I generally make a list and then completely ignore it during the read-a-thon. Lol.

I thought it would be very entertaining.

I bombed Tuesday, too! I fell so far off the reading wagon, I couldn’t even see it from my window. I will be better today, though!

I’ve seen a couple of people who had issues with Tuesday. Maybe the enthusiasm from Monday was a little overwhelming for some of us.
I’m going to try to rock the rest of this read-a-thon! At least that’s the plan anyway.

Thanks for checking in with me! The encouragement was needed.
I hope you enjoyed Bout of Books!

I love your limerick! And I’m so glad you enjoyed the quiz, I had fun creating it.
I like how you record your reading by pages, rather than books read. That probably would have been a better choice for me, too.

Why thank you! It took me a bit to get it just right. I’m kinda proud of it. I am a very slow reader (compared to some of the other bloggers) so it is better for me to know the pages than the number of books. Plus it’s more of a level playing field that way.
Melissa S August 16, 2012 at 12:13 pm
Thanks for stopping by the blog! I’ve only finished 2 books for the read-a-thon, but I am averaging a good page count per day as you said! Although, seeing all the great books that everyone is reading I just keep adding to my TBR heap!

I am a firm believer that being a book blogger only adds significantly to you TBR pile.
Shirley August 16, 2012 at 5:57 pm
I started reading Toil and Trouble last night and it has pushed me forward. I love H.P. Mallory’s style. Jolie’s ‘voice’ is so much fun to read.

Jolie is a very fun character to read. I really need to get caught up with her story! I have the novella and the next book in the series.

I need to get myself those Saraj J Maas novellas, loved Throne of Glass. Thanks for playing my limerick challenge.

No problem! Thank you for hosting it! I really did enjoy it.
If the novellas are even half as good as Throne of Glass than it is going to be an AMAZING read. I have really enjoyed the first three that I have read. I’m getting ready to read the last one now.
