Waiting on Wednesday (1)

Posted March 30th, 2011 by in Uncategorized / 0 comments

This is a great weekly theme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine to show off the books that we are looking forward to that haven’t been released yet.
So this is my first ever WoW post but I figured there are many books that I’m looking forward to so I would like to spotlight them week after week.

This week I’m looking forward to…

Summary:
Bobbed hair. Short skirts. Cool jazz. Dark speakeasy. Anything goes. Meet the flappers, Gloria, Clara, Lorraine . . . and the rich young boys who love and loathe them.

Release Date: August 9th, 2011

Why I’m Excited for this Book:
This is the second book in the Flappers series, the first book was Vixen. I read an advanced copy of Vixen back in Nov and I loved the story and the characters. Sometimes I feel that YA doesn’t really handle the historical time period that well but Jillian proved me wrong. I loved the mix between the past elements of the roaring 1920s, the jazz, the booze, the romance, and the mystery. Plus Vixen left on a huge cliffhanger so I have already been dying for Ingenue since even before Vixen hit the shelf in Dec 2010.

I still need to read Vixen, but now I can see that the cover of Ingenue is going to be difficult to resist. Thanks for sharing your WoW pick. 🙂
