Bad boy Callum Fraser is head over heels for the first time in his life. Only his beloved, the Lady Alys, is keeping him out of her bed until their wedding Christmas morning. It's enough to drive a man crazy!

Still, he intends to make up for his restraint. There are many ways to seduce, and Callum's a master at all of them. His goal? To leave Alys shivering in desire, anticipating the many delicious ways he'll bring her pleasure on their wedding night and throughout the twelve days of Christmas.

At least that's the plan...until Alys's dead first husband shows up, very much alive!

3.5 Stars

Normally I don’t plan on reading many holiday themed books during the holiday season but I got this one from a contest and I decided to get myself ready for the holiday season to read it. This book is about Lady Alys and Callum’s journey to falling in love and dealing with all the baggage from Aly’s past. Alys’ past includes whoring herself out for money to keep her son and herself alive after her previous husband dies from small pox. Callum brings her into his castle and he falls in love with her and promises her a Christmas wedding with 12 days/nights of Christmas pleasures. This is until Alys’ dead husband shows up to claim her for himself.

Honestly, starting this book I was all set for a steamy read about all of these 12 nights of Christmas pleasures and watching this big warrior fall for the petite Alys. With the book being just a little over 200 pages there wasn’t much time for much except Alys’ husband Alex coming to claim her and ruining her Christmas with Callum. The plot twist was cute but the steamy read was lacking in this book.

Overall, it was cute but I was expecting something a little bit more from the story.

Yeah, I totally thought this book would be steamy from the synopsis, as well. Shame it falls through with the steam. :(! Good review, though. <3

Kristina- I know it set me up a steamy romance read and it let me down in that area. Thanks for the compliment! 🙂
